Since 2012 “Alexander Meyer”, a spacious holiday apartment with 4 rooms on 90 m² is available to you. Built in 1904, this upper middle-class apartment building displays elements of late Historicism and Art Nouveau. The furnishings in a successful mix of historical furniture and accessories from the Baroque, Gründerzeit and Bauhaus periods, combined with modern, functional furnishings, meet the needs of discerning guests. Enjoy the summer under the yellow parasol on the balcony to the south. The house is located in a traffic-calmed 30km zone. Only 10 minutes walk from here to the National Theatre, in front of which stands the famous monument with Goethe and Schiller. The apartment has a private parking lot on the property, only 10 metres from the front door.
Warm oak parquet flooring, original old doors with supraports and high rooms give an impression of the lifestyle of a social class at the end of the 19th century, which also belonged to the patron saint of this apartment.

The 90 m² are divided into two bedrooms, a kitchen with a large round dining table, a living room with a light-flooded round bay and of course a bathroom with tub, shower and toilet. You will find a relaxing sleep in the double bed (160 cm) of bedroom I, in the two single beds in bedroom II and optionally on the good sofa bed in the living room. The apartment is on the mezzanine floor; the sunny balcony is ideal for relaxing. The centre is just a few minutes’ walk away. On the property a parking lot is available for you. We want to offer allergy sufferers an unencumbered apartment. Please understand that therefore no animals can be accepted. The equipment includes a small stereo system, as well as cable TV, DVD player and various games. You can access the Internet free of charge via WIFI or cable. Bed and table linen as well as towels and bath towels are of course included in the price. The kitchen is well equipped and the extensive and sophisticated library on art and culture will satisfy your educational and entertainment needs in the most pleasant way. The CD and video archive serves to cope with any weather conditions and to deepen the enjoyment of seasonal moods.
The basic price is indicated under the season times and includes two persons. Each additional adult costs 20 (15) €, each child from 4 years of age 10 € per night. Children under 4 stay overnight in the cot free of charge.
We charge a one-time service fee of 35 €.
MINIMUM RENTAL TIME is 2 nights, in connection with Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Easter, Whitsun and Bridging Days 4 nights. The weekend prices are also valid on national holidays. Special price on 2 October weekend (Zwiebelmarkt)
Long-term guests with thanks with these discounts: For more than 6 nights 10% and for more than 13 nights 15%, from the first day on.
